Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) means actively working in partnership with researchers as a representative of the public, assisting them to plan, manage, design and carry out research. It helps the projects be focused on being ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them”
